Will ugly people like me get there air conditioning in hell before the pretty people?
When Jesus said to help the poor, was he talking about people with cars and air conditioning?
Granted that these are modern inventions, but they represent a level of wealth unknown in the ancient world. When Jesus asked people to sell what they had and give the money to the poor, was he talking about people who are wealthy by historical standards? I am permanently disabled with C.O.P.D. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and am on a daily regimen of breathing nebulizer treatments as well a other oral inhalers. TI moved in on May 1 2010. The landlord is suppossed to provide me with air conditioning and has not since I moved in May 1, 2010. I contacted him several times and he ignored my calls. Or would tell me he would have someone come by and checki it. There is a maintenance man on the premises each day and he has not beeen contacted as of yet. This is a wall unit. The windows do ot support a regular air conditioner therefore there is a wall unit in my apartment. June and July in Massachusetts have had temperatures in the upper 80's into the 90's. I have gone without any airconditioning. My apartment has reached temperatures of over 103 degrees.I have a very difficult time breathing and experience a hospitalization at the end of June. I have found another residence. Do I have grounds to break the lease??My dishawasher has not worked either, but my health condition has forced me to live away from my residence for half of June and July. What should I do. Speaking to him over the phone he is very rufe and confrontational and I have told him I will be contacting him through emails from now on. This will also serve as a paper trail for him and his denials of liablility.I made him aware of my hospitalization from 6 23 thru 7 1 before and after. Told him of extremely low blood pressure, difiiculty breathing asthma. Told him I had to go back to my parenhts house for the next few days. I just got an air conditioner after threatening to buy one myself andf take ir off of the rent. The maintenance man helped me by finding one and delivering and installing it Saturday July 17 it was billed to my landlordl. He did nothing to find one and did not want to purchase one. He was made .aware of this problem May 25th and the a c was replaced on July 17th after over 45 days of 86 97 degree heatwave during the day

I live in Michigan. I'm 37 and overweight and I hate to sweat in the heat and humidity. I live with my senior citizen mother who likes to save money and she doesnt mind " enjoying" the setting the A C to 74 degrees.I think thats way too warm. We always get into fights over the A C. I like setting the A C between 66 68 degrees.Some " green" environmental activist like to keep the A C at even warmer levels to " save the Earth." How did the white collar workers manage not to get out of their cars soaking wet on hot summer days? I have a small black sports car, A C went out on it and if it's hot enough, I come out soaking wet in my own sweat.

Seniors, what affect does having air conditioning have on appetites and eating?
I remember when most homes just had a box fan or water cooler to cool the house. It was hot inside. Even though the typical dinner was a home cooked one that added extra heat inside the home the heat dulled our appetites. Some people including myself lost the weight they gained during the winter holidays as the temperatures increased and gained no more during the summer. Not only that we also went outside in the evening to take a walk around the neighborhood, pick stuff from the garden or walk to the creek. Could having air conditioned homes be one of the reasons for weight gain in the US? I have heard people say that young people don't get outside much anyone and think that is one of the reasons, they are too comfortable indoors during bad weather.
